Summer opening hours in the lift and climbing park
Cycle, climb or swish through the air
From June 20, the Skalet Express is open daily for those who want to go up Hovdefjället, with or without a mountain bike. At the descent, two wonderful trails start. A cross country loop up on the mountain in blue difficulty and a flowtrail back down to Skalet Express/Skalets torg in green difficulty, perfect when the whole family wants to cycle together. If you want to start by getting a little familiar with the bike, there is a nice skills area to practice technique in. For those who ride the lift without a bike, there is a climbing park/high-altitude course with five different courses and two ziplines, open from June 22. Book accommodation in Högås villas with easy bike in/bike out distance to Skalet Express.
Klövsjö week in July
July 15-21
The people of Klövsjö are proud of their beautiful village. During Klövsjö Week, they want to give you the chance to take part in both crafts and locally produced ingredients. This is the week you don't want to miss in Vemdalen. The Klövsjö week is loaded with golf competitions, flatbread baking and guided tours at the homestead farm Tomtan, a variety of farm flea markets, handicrafts, felting and a tractor parade.
Vemdalen Golf Weeks
Week 29-30
The traditional golf weeks v. 29-30 are, as always, the highlight of the season at Klövsjö-Vemdalens GK and Hede-Vemdalens GK, the area's two fine golf courses with a great mountain feel from tee to green.
Almost every day between July 15-28, a golf competition of the more light-hearted kind is arranged where everyone can participate regardless of handicap. The first competition week is played on Klövsjö - Vemdalens GK, then the fun continues Hede-Vemdalens GK.
Autumn market in Klövsjö
September 21
The autumn market in Klövsjö in September is a taste experience beyond the ordinary. Local producers line up the best goodies and you can take the opportunity to stock up on jams, juices, cheeses and charcuterie.
Here, as a visitor, you can taste lots of good and locally produced delicacies - which you can also buy to take home. Here, you just have to wander from stall to stall and get your hands on cheese, jam, juice, bread, berries and coffee bread.
There are also local crafts on site for those who want to renew their home or shop for souvenirs
